Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew as a child in Mexico with a family that was devoted to music. The music she grew up with was traditional and old boleros, and the traditional songs of romantics and ranchero. Ana loves tangos as well the dramatic and opera performances. At the age 16, she began to sing and study music with her mum. Flavio, a Mexican tenor of great renown began to provide her with more intense training in singing. The training in music continued at the School of Music of Guadalajara University. In the following years, she was a student at an institution called the School of Sacred Music of Toluca. As a student and when she was a professional young within Mexico City and Guadalajara she was a member of several chamber ensembles and choruses. Following her move to the United States, she performed in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2002 she moved to Southern California. The singer currently sings classic Latin American songs at private occasions as a soloist. Passion and enthusiasm for music, art, and performing keep her engaged in many local projects as a performer and teacher. Ana is a previous participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands (as being a member of the Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana is hoping that, through her sharing songs from Latin American traditional songs, to instill a passion, particularly among the younger generation, for keeping this music alive.
